December 31, 2021  Happy New Year to all my blogger readers.  4:00am- We are off to West End in the Bahamas. It is approximately 55 miles. It should take about 10 hours to get there depending on the wind.  This is a night photo of Gunter and Sue following us in the Gulf  stream as we were leaving West Palm.  My adrenaline goes up just as we are hoisting the anchor in the middle of the night. I get so excited when we leave in the dark with all the stars gazing down at us. It is also very disorienting and the depth perception  is deceiving. You have to take your time and have someone looking out at all times.   4:15am- Sun Spirit is staying close behind us since their running lights are not working. Something Gunter will have to check in the Bahamas.  7:00am- As we see light appearing, we noticed we do not see any land and that there is no cellular service. Now we wait to connect to a Bahamian cellular.    We purchased a phone chip for the trip.  As Steve put out his fishing line, our au

December 28, 2021 6/30am- woke up to take a shower before our  7:00am departure to West Palm Beach.  Gunter and Sue will be motoring beside us. No more fast wifi for awhile. We will have to anchor once we get there since there is no room for transients at the marinas.  7:30am-  Shortly after we left, our engine light went off.  We had to anchor in the ICW 3 times. First time, Steve looked at the engine and thought it was ok when the alarm stopped. Second time, Sue and Gunter turned around and motored beside us to give us their engine temperature gun. It was not overheating and the alarm stopped once again. Steve removed the thermostat thinking that might be the issue. After hearing that annoying but much needed alarm, Steve added water in the engine internal cooling system and voilĂ , problem solved.  Off we quietly motored at the 196 marker. We have some catching up to do since Gunter and Sue are at marker 202. ( about 3 miles ahead of us).  12:09pm- Crossed Hobe  Sound Bridge at mile

December 26, 2021 6:30am- Went for my morning walk and watched the sunrise.  Footsteps in the sand.  8:15- Bread making morning as I enjoyed kneading the dough on my new silicone pastry mat.  11:00am- Sue and I went and did our last grocery shopping before we head out to the Bahamas while Steve helped Gunter fix his windless.  1:00pm. Once we returned, the men went to West Marines while we unpacked our groceries.  4:00pm- Bread is out of the oven.  5:15pm- Sue and Gunter invited us for a wonderful meal. Chef “boy oh boy “ knows how to cook up a meal.  It was a nice relaxing evening.  9:00pm-  Watch a movie when we returned to the boat before going g to bed.  December 27, 2021 2:30 AM -  I heard Steve wake up and walk around with a flashlight throughout the boat. Guess he didn’t want to wake me.  Before we went to bed we would hear a periodical buzzing throughout the boat. I thought it was Steve getting messages on his phone and he thought visa versa. We ignored it and just went to bed.

December 13, 2021 6:15- Went for my morning walk to see the sunrise.  Always so mystical.  When I returned around 7:30am, Steve was already busy addressing a few leaking issues. We like a dry bottom boat.  We had our first breakfast on the boat which consisted of yogurt, fruit and granola.   Steve washed and clean the boat topside, fixed a few electrical plugs to charge all our gadgets and checked to make sure the anchor works. All good.   We went to pick up a new bilge indicator and I couldn’t resist going to Bealls.  I love that shop however Steve was pressuring me to move along. He is on a mission.   Steve fired off the barbecue and all was good  Our first dinner on the boat consist of barbecued pork chops, basmati rice and broccoli.  Finished off with oreo cookies and a coffee.   So nice to relax after a hectic busy day.  7:00pm- We went for a nice long walk to look at all the Xmas lights and then came back to watch a movie.   December 14, 2021 6:00am - Woke up this to meet Debra a
